Conca dei
Marini is not to far from Amalfi, situated around a little cape called
"Capo di Conca".

An old
story remember that Conca was the warlike "Cossa", Roman
allied during the Punic Wars. The
town is on the promontory, that look, on the left side a little natural
inlet, used to anchor the ships, during the Republic age.
On the right side of the promontory, there is the inlet of the "la grotta dello
Smeraldo".

of S. Antonio, with its bell tower in maiolic and the church of San
Pancrazio.

Conca, there is the convent of Santa Rosa, built in the XIV
century. In
this agreeable place, the local stories remember that, in the XVIII
century, nuns invented the "sfogliatella", famous neapolitain
cake. |
